Calling any budding female crew chefs in the Med!
Ideally a chef who can meet me in person in Antibes to discuss an opportunity to work year round and develop a yacht career working alongside a highly experienced head chef on a large private motoryacht.
To apply you must have chef experience CDP or higher, in a good quality rosette level restaurant but don’t have to have previous yacht experience but 1 season prior yacht work is preferred.
I am looking for chefs who have a passion for cooking and who will want to learn and soak up as much from the head chef as they can. Dont need a chef who knows it all already but someone who has a thirst to learn and who can cope with producing healthy balanced crew food for up to 22 crew.
You need to be an organised, professional chef who will keep a spotless galley and who can open the fridges and stores and use what is available to feed the crew varied, balanced meals.
You will also assist the head chef where needed with owner’s food but you must be open to menu creation, thinking of new menus and dishes to keep the crew happy!
The yacht is in the USA so you can have B1B2 already or will need to get you one if hired.. you must have STCW, Food Safety L2, ENG1 etc and chef training in a restaurant of good quality prior to yachting. Maybe you have worked in Oz, New Zealand or in the London restaurant scene before yachting?
